Helen Schuler Nature Centre’s family festival offers fun for everyone!

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre invites everyone to celebrate the change of seasons at Spring Nature Fest on Friday March 15 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. This annual family festival will offer opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lethbridge’s river valley. The community event will feature interactive activities by the Family Centre, Lethbridge College’s Early Childhood Education Program, the Oldman Watershed Council, and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery.

Spring Nature Fest offers a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including geocaching, scavenger hunts, building challenges, arts and crafts, loose parts playground, and much more!

“Everyone is excited to see the arrival of spring,” says Jessica Deacon-Rogers with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, “Spring Nature Fest provides a great opportunity for families to come together to appreciate the subtle changes on the landscape and the clear signs that spring is well underway!”

Spring Nature Fest has something for everyone and provides a great chance to discover all that spring has to offer right in the heart of the city! The event will take place throughout the afternoon, at no charge, at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. Everyone is encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool with friends to the event.

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is open year-round; hours of operation for March are 1:00pm – 4:00pm, Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays). The current main gallery exhibition features The Nature of Play - an interactive exhibit that will encourage and inspire you to add more play to your days!!
