Priority Access for Scheduled Groups

Published on: February 26th, 2024

To ensure a great experience at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre for scheduled groups and general drop-in visitors, the Nature Centre has enabled Priority Access for Scheduled Groups.

Groups with 15 or more people are asked to help ensure a great experience for all visitors by making advance arrangements to avoid overcrowding at the Nature Centre.

What does this mean?

Pre-booked Field Trips, Day Camps, Birthday Parties, Workshops, Meetings and other similar activities at the Nature Centre have priority access to spaces needed for programming.

Large drop-in groups may be asked to relocate and return to the Nature Centre at a later time (or date). To avoid disappointment, all large groups are asked to contact staff well in advance of bringing their group to the Nature Centre – call 403-320-3064 or email nature@lethbridge.ca.  Email is monitored weekdays only.

Why is Priority Access for Scheduled Groups necessary?

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre experience is designed for individuals and groups to engage with interactive exhibitions and displays in a way that facilitates discovery and independent learning. Nature Centre staff do their best to optimize visitor experience by scheduling group tours/programs in a way that minimizes disruptions or impact on other visitors.
