Celebrate the arrival of spring at Spring Nature Fest! - March 13 | 1pm - 5pm

Best Front Forward

Best Front Forward is a beautification and biodiversity enhancement campaign for 'front-yards', running
March-October 2026.

Best Front Forward aims to build more front yard spaces that are full of life, colour, friends, and resiliency. This program includes easy and simple steps you can take to re-imagine your front yard as a place that contributes to your community.

This recognition program involves more than 30 landscaping and community building initiatives that residents and business owners can complete.

If your front yard contains at least 15 of these 30+ initiatives, submit the registration form below to receive a GOLD STAR for your front yard!

Privately owned front yard areas have the potential to be significant community-building spaces that contribute to your neighborhood and to nature. While still being a private space, front-yards are a window into what you value and how you feel about community.

Let’s put our best front forward—one front yard at a time!
